Choose the feel before choosing the location
Start with a place that means something to you or a setting you enjoy together. You might prefer architectural details, open space or greenery. Share examples of the feel you like, then we can discuss the light, access and practical details for your El Paso session.
Think about the walk from parking, how busy the setting may be and whether your outfits are comfortable there. If you want a destination outside El Paso, ask about travel before booking. A setting should fit both your photographs and your experience.
Match the plan to the package
Mini is $175 for up to 45 minutes, one location and one outfit, with 15–20 edited digital photographs and no prints. Signature is $295 for up to 75 minutes, one location and up to two outfits, with 30–40 edited photographs and three prints.
Premium is $495 for up to two hours including transfers, two nearby locations and up to three outfits, with 75–90 edited photographs and a larger print collection. Two places can add variety, but travel between them uses session time. Choose the collection and pace that fit your priorities.
Bring clothes you can move in
Choose outfits you like wearing together and can sit, walk and move in. Coordinate colors without feeling that you need to match exactly. Send your ideas during planning, and keep any outfit change easy to manage within your package.
Meaningful details, such as your engagement ring, can be part of the photographs. Tell me about anything you want to include so we can make time for it.
Work back from your announcement deadline
If these photographs are for invitations or announcements, tell me when you need the finished images. Mini and Signature galleries are delivered within two weeks; Premium galleries in 4–6 weeks after the session. Allow additional time for any printing or design you arrange. Expedited digital delivery is a paid option only when its availability and timeframe are confirmed.
Engagement photographs can stand on their own
You can book a couples or engagement session without booking wedding coverage. You also do not need to be engaged: anniversaries and everyday chapters are welcome.
If you plan to propose during the photographs, start with proposal planning so we can coordinate the surprise and the coverage it needs.
Settings from real sessions
The couples gallery includes Andrew and Meghan at Plaza Patio, Daisy and Andy in Mesilla, and Desirae and Jorge at Red Sands. These examples offer different settings to talk through; access, light, travel and costs are confirmed for your date. A photograph in the portfolio does not guarantee that the same setting will be available.
Compare settings from real couples sessions
These are places represented in my own work. Use the photographs to choose a visual direction, then confirm the exact spot, access and date.
Plaza Patio · Andrew and Meghan
The brick and architectural setting gives their photographs a close, textured backdrop. Start here if you prefer an urban feel. Confirm the particular patio, permission to use it and where an outfit change would happen.
Mesilla · Daisy and Andy
A destination choice for couples who want the character shown in their Mesilla portraits. Plan travel separately from photographing time; do not assume an El Paso package includes an out-of-town destination.
Red Sands · Desirae and Jorge
Use their outdoor portraits to judge whether the open setting fits your ideas. The exact meeting point, ground conditions, walking route and permission need to be settled before the session.
Compare the couples photographs. For each location, discuss when the light suits the chosen background, the distance from parking and a place for any outfit change. Select one setting for a simpler session; only combine places when the transfer fits the package.
For Mesilla, the town publishes plaza rental and film-permit information. Ask which requirements apply to the proposed portrait setup; those forms do not establish blanket permission for every session.
Mesilla public resource reviewed October 7, 2026. Plaza Patio and Red Sands access and fees remain specific to the exact location and date.
