Choose comfort as well as a backdrop

When we choose a setting, consider the walk from parking, places to pause, shade, the ground underfoot and the ages of the people joining. Tell me about mobility needs or anything that will make the session more comfortable. Those details matter as much as the view.

Share a meaningful place or the feel you like for your El Paso photographs. We’ll discuss timing and confirm access, weather alternatives and any location costs before finalizing the plan. Do not assume a public place permits every kind of photography setup.

Decide who the session is for

Regular family packages cover one immediate family unit, including single-parent and blended families across homes. Multiple family units or generations need an extended-family quote. The distinction is the scope of the group, not a fixed headcount cutoff.

Grandparents with their adult children and grandchildren, or siblings bringing their own families, may want a whole-group portrait plus several smaller combinations. Share that plan before booking so we can allow the right amount of time.

Make a short list of groupings

For an extended-family inquiry, list the total people, family units and the combinations you want most. Start with the whole group, then list individual households and any special combinations. Note who may need a shorter session or an easier place to sit or stand.

Your custom quote confirms coverage time, photographs, prints and any travel or location costs. The regular Premium package is not a fixed extended-family price.

Keep preparation simple

Choose comfortable clothing in coordinating colors, and avoid an outfit change that uses more time than it adds to your photographs. Let me know about children’s routines when planning the session. You do not need everyone to sit perfectly still; simple prompts and natural movement leave room for personality.

Signature includes up to 75 minutes, 30–40 edited photographs and three prints for $295. Compare Mini, Signature and Premium by the time and collection you want, rather than choosing more time only because more people are attending.

What to send before you reserve

For a maternity session, share your preferred setting, who will join and any comfort needs you would like considered. Maternity uses the regular portrait package options.

A family session at Red Sands

See Ruby and Misael’s family photographs at Red Sands. The gallery also includes the Chavez family at Chavez Farms. Use the photographs to discuss the feel you like; we’ll confirm the suitability and access for your own family before deciding on a location.

Compare settings for your family

Red Sands · Ruby and Misael

Their family story shows close portraits, play and time with their baby. Use the actual photographs to judge the style, then agree on the meeting point and a manageable walk for your group.

Chavez Farms · Chavez family

The family portfolio includes the Chavez family in a green setting. Check the date, the particular area, permission and any location costs before planning a session there.

A park option such as Memorial Park

If your priority is a park setting, discuss a specific area and the walk from parking. Confirm shade at your session time, restroom access and a place to take a break. This is a planning option; the family examples above were made elsewhere.

El Paso’s park-use document identifies permanent restrooms at Memorial Reserve, and its rental page lists reservable areas. Check facility availability and suitability for your family before deciding; an area reservation does not reserve surrounding parking or streets.

A location checklist for children and grandparents

For several households, use the extended-family grouping worksheet before requesting a quote.

City park resources reviewed October 7, 2026. Individual farm and Red Sands arrangements require confirmation for the exact setting.
